Cataract Linked to Sun Overexposure

While the dangers of sunlight on skin are well known, however, its toll on the eyes are much less. Officials are still the same, namely UV (ultraviolet) rays. These rays are invisible to the naked eye, they should not be confused with brightness. Thus, it is not because the sun does not dart its rays on you that there is no risk.
UVA is the most harmful to eyes. In adults they reach the lens and in children, they can go to the retina!
UVB, meanwhile, are absorbed by the lens correctly. the lens is a kind of lens behind the iris of the eye that allows, like a camera lens, to the development.
An increase in cases due to overexposure
With age, and under the influence of other risk factors (diabetes, metabolic disorders, heredity), the lens may become opaque: the cataract.
This disease, which affects one in 5 from 65, causes a gradual decrease of vision, poor perception of contrast, glare in bright light and blurred vision contours. But more importantly, without surgery, it can lead to total blindness.
