Nurse Jobs
Moving to the UK for British Nurse Jobs
Nurses in the United States who are looking for a change should consider nurse jobs in the United Kingdom. The the UK Border Agency requires that people coming into the UK to work know the language and customs of the UK. Nothing could be easier for citizens of the United States, we speak the English language here in the US. Except for some slang that is different, any US citizen could be understood in the UK. As to customs, they are not that different. Our customs in the US are based on British customs.
Nursing jobs in the UK are not much different than similar jobs in the United States. You must pay income taxes out of your wages, just like in the US. A deduction is also taken for National Insurance. National Insurance covers state healthcare and pensions. Your employer makes these deductions and issues you a pay slip, which is what we call a pay check.
The best part about nursing positions in the UK is that everyone gets at least four weeks’ paid holiday a year. That is unheard of in the US, unless you have worked at a job for many. Many years. The UK also has a minimum wage, although nurses are always paid more that the minimum wage. You will most likely be required to submit to a background check, this includes your life in the United States, so be honest.
There are good nursing positions available in the UK, why not see the world and get paid for it at the same time.
